Susan
Blackman co-founded Urban Sky Consort, a chamber
ensemble focusing on music written by women from the
12th century German abbess and mystic, Hildegard of Bingen, to Barbara Strozzi of 17th century Italy.
She is Managing Director of Prime Stage Theatre,
Network Catalyst for Kelly-Strayhorn Theatre, Grants
Coordinator at Women & Girls Foundation, and
currently sings with Renaissance City Choirs in
Pittsburgh, PA>

Eva
Rainforth, mezzo-soprano, teaches voice at Point
Park University, and is certified in the highest
level of Somatice Voicework (tm). She also sings
with The Pittsburgh Opera Chorus. In her spare time,
she writes art songs, and likes to sing them for
anyone who's interested in hearing them. Eva hails
from Sayville, Long Island, and therefore, loves
Fire Island, the Great South Bay, strip malls, and
driving uncomfortably fast on the LIE.

Katy
Shackleton Williams has performed extensively in the
Pittsburgh area with The Pittsburgh Symphony
Orchestra, Pittsburgh Opera, the Mendelssohn Choir,
Pittsburgh Opera Theater, River City Brass Band and
Pittsburgh Concert Chorale.
Katy is on the
adjunct music staff of Point Park University and
Washington and Jefferson College. She is the soprano
soloist at Rodef Shalom, Oakland, and the vocal
artist in residence at St. Paul's Episcopal Church,
Mt Lebanon. She is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon
University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in
Vocal Performance.

Jeffry
Blake Johnson has performed professionally as a
singer, actor, pianist, harpsichordist, organist and
conductor for over 25 years. As a Visiting
Assistant Professor, Johnson currently serves the
West Virginia University as Interim Director of
Choral Activities. He is conductor of the University
Choir and Choral Union, and coordinates other choral
ensembles and activities in the Division of Music.
Dr. Johnson teaches graduate and undergraduate
courses in conducting, choral methods, choral
literature, and private conducting lessons.
He received the
Doctor of Musical Arts degree in conducting from
West Virginia University in 2010, the Master of
Music degree in vocal accompanying and harpsichord
performance from Boston University in 1989, and the
Bachelor of Science degree in piano and voice
performance from William Jewell College in 1982.

Greg
Siegle is a multi-instrumentalist on the MindZEye
label who blends ancient melodies with modern
acoustic and electronic stylings. His critically
acclaimed solo CD, Vessels, contains avant-garde
instrumental versions of well-known Jewish prayers
and is available on CD Baby and Oysongs. Greg plays
with the ensemble Kol Hakavanah and also in the
weekly Levy Hall Minyan at Temple Rodef Shalom, in
Pittsburgh.

Cantorial
soloist Sara Stock Mayo, serves the
congregation of Temple Sinai, Pittsburgh, PA, as
Musical Director and Congregational Chaplain.
Sara earned a BFA in
Musical Theatre from Syracuse University and an MA
in Drama Therapy from New York University. She has
worked with youth-at-risk in both Pittsburgh and New
York, taught and directed theatre in multiple
settings and worked as a therapist with adult
mentally ill patients as well as seniors.

Todd
Farwell has an extensive sacred music background, having
grown up in a musical family full of church singers.
He has performed with the Pittsburgh Opera Chorus
and the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh. He has performed service
music at countless churches in numerous
denominations in the Pittsburgh area, and currently
serves as the bass section leader at East Liberty
Presbyterian Church. Todd is very happy to be with
the Tikkun Singers. He contributed to the CD,
“Kavanot project”, and is very excited and grateful
to be back for “Kumi Ori”. |
